✨Συζητούσα μια μέρα με τον Γέροντα για τις αιρέσεις

κι εκείνος μου διηγήθηκε:

✨ "Μια φορά ήλθε σε μένα μια καλή

κοπέλα, μορφωμένη, από καλό σπίτι και χριστιανή,

πήγαινε μάλιστα και σε χριστιανική οργάνωση.

✨Μου είπε ότι της προξενεύουν έναν πολύ καλό κύριο, σοβαρό,

πλούσιο, μορφωμένο, μόνο που ήταν μασόνος. Με ρώτησε τί να κάνει.

✨Της είπα να μην τον πάρει, αφού ήταν μασόνος. Άρχισε να μου λέει,

ότι είναι πολύ καλός χαρακτήρας και γι' αυτό θα μπορέσει

να τον προσελκύσει στο Χριστό.

 ✨Της είπα ότι δε θα μπορέσει

να πετύχει τίποτε. Δε με άκουσε και τον παντρεύτηκε.

✨Από τότε δεν ξαναήρθε για πολλά χρόνια. Ώσπου μιά μέρα,

έφθασε με τον άνδρα της και το παιδί της. Μπήκε μόνη της στο κελλί μου.

✨Τη ρώτησα, πώς τα περνάς;

Μου είπε καλά.

✨Κάθε πότε πηγαίνεις για εξομολόγηση και Θεία Κοινωνία;

Περίπου κάθε χρόνο

✨. Κάθε πότε πας στην Εκκλησία; Κάπου κάπου, αραιά.

✨Τη ρώτησα και μερικά άλλα και πήρα ανάλογες απαντήσεις.

✨Της λέω: Φώναξε τον άνδρα σου.

✨ Ήρθε ο άνδρας της με το παιδί τους.

Είπα στον άνδρα της: Ξέρεις, η γυναίκα σου, πρίν σε παντρευτεί,

με βεβαίωσε ότι θα σε κάνει χριστιανό,

αλλά βλέπω ότι εσύ την έκανες μασόνα".

✨Γέροντα, ρώτησα, πώς πίστεψε αυτή η γυναίκα ότι θα κάνει το μασόνο

χριστιανό, αφού η μασονία πολεμά ανοιχτά το χριστιανισμό;

✨Μου απάντησε: "Όχι, αυτό τον πόλεμο τον κάνουν οι άλλοι.

Οι μασόνοι κανουν κρυφό πόλεμο, γι' αυτό είναι επικίνδυνοι.

✨Δε σου λένε μη κάνεις το σταυρό σου, μη πάς στην Εκκλησία,

στην εξομολόγηση. Σου λένε πήγαινε, αλλά έλα και σε μας.

✨Σε επηρεάζουν σιγά σιγά, έτσι πού να μήν καταλάβεις ότι, από κάποια στιγμή

και μετά, έπαψες στην πραγματικότητα να είσαι χριστιανός και έγινες μασόνος.

✨Ο Γέροντας γνώριζε, όχι μόνο το περιεχόμενο των αιρέσεων,

αλλά και "τάς μεθοδείας του διαβόλου", και εφιστούσε την προσοχή

των χριστιανών, για να μήν παγιδευτούν και ηττηθούν στον αγώνα τους

"προς τας αρχάς, πρός τας εξουσίας, πρός τους κοσμοκράτορας του σκότους

του αιώνος τούτου, πρός τα πνευματικά της πονηρίας εν τοις επουρανοίς"✨

✨One day I was speaking with the Elder about heresies,

and he shared the following story with me:

✨“Once, a good young woman came to me — educated, from a good family, and a Christian.

She even attended a Christian youth organization.

✨She told me that someone was proposing a very good man for her — serious, wealthy, well-educated —

but he was a Freemason. She asked me what she should do.

✨I told her not to marry him, since he was a Mason.

She began telling me that he had a very good character, and that she could bring him to Christ.

✨I told her that she wouldn’t succeed.

She didn’t listen to me — and she married him.

✨From that day on, she didn’t come back for many years.

Until one day, she arrived with her husband and their child. She came into my cell alone.

✨I asked her, “How are you doing?”

She replied, “We’re doing well.”

✨I asked her, “How often do you go to confession and receive Holy Communion?”

She said, “About once a year.”

✨“How often do you go to church?”

“Now and then, not often,” she replied.

✨I asked her a few other questions, and received similar answers.

✨Then I said to her: “Call your husband.”

✨Her husband came in with their child.

I said to him: “You know, your wife assured me before marrying you

that she would make you a Christian —

but from what I see, you’ve made her a Mason.”

✨“Elder,” I asked, “how could that woman believe she could make a Mason into a Christian,

when Freemasonry openly fights against Christianity?”

✨He replied:

“No, that open fight is done by others.

The Freemasons wage a hidden war — and that’s why they’re dangerous.

✨They don’t tell you ‘Don’t make the sign of the cross,’ or ‘Don’t go to Church or confession.’

They say: ‘Go… but come to us, too.’

✨They influence you slowly, so that you don’t even realize

that at some point, you’ve stopped being a Christian in truth — and become a Mason.”

✨The Elder knew not only the content of the heresies,

but also “the schemes of the devil,”

and he would warn Christians, so they wouldn’t fall into a trap and lose the battle

“against the rulers, against the authorities,

against the powers of this dark world,

against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
