But Father Jacob replied, saying: "Yes, he committed those sins, but he confessed them, and God has erased them." The devil said: "Yes, he confessed those sins, but he did not confess some others." Saint James said: "He atoned for them with his good deeds." Then he went to the man and said: "Andreas, tell the demons that I am saved." The man was in a state of extreme fear and could not open his mouth. Elder James pressed him on the back and said: "Andreas, tell the demons that I am saved."
