ABOVE THE HOLY BANK

Women and priests are not ordained in the Orthodox Church because they do not have menstrual cycles In the Orthodox Church, women and priests are not ordained.

This is not because women have menstrual cycles or a feminine nature, or because Christ did

not institute it during his time.

The reason is purely theological, as all the the honor of the Priesthood belongs to the

Virgin

Mary, who was a woman.

The idea that women are not ordained for reasons related to their gender is a misconception

popularized by Protestants and now also by some Catholics.

The placement of the Holy Table is not because women give birth, as some suggest, but for

theological reasons.

feminine nature and Christ did not institute it during his time

It's not because they have menstrual cycles, nor because they have a feminine nature, and Christ did not give priesthood during his time to these foolishnesses that the Protestants say, and now the papists have started saying.""Why above the Holy Table?

Because she is the one who gave birth..."Like the Isaiah that the Protestants say, and now the Papists have started saying.

Well, no, the reason is purely theological because all the honor of the Priesthood belongs to the Virgin Mary, to a woman.
