Jesus Christ is orthodox

Jesus Christ is not Protestant, not Catholic, not the creation of any human denomination.

Christ is the Lord of Glory, the Head of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

Divisions appeared in the course of history. The Orthodox Church, however, preserves the faith of the Apostles and the Holy Fathers unaltered, as it was handed down from the beginning.

The Holy Fire in Jerusalem is, for the Orthodox, a living testimony of the Resurrection. Every Holy Saturday, at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the ceremony is performed by the Orthodox Patriarch, according to a tradition of centuries.

Tradition relates that in former times, when the Armenians attempted to perform the ceremony alone and the Orthodox Patriarch was not permitted to enter, the Holy Fire did not appear inside the Church but emerged miraculously from a column outside, splitting it. That cracked column remains to this day as a sign which the faithful regard as testimony of divine intervention.

For the Orthodox, this is a powerful indication that the grace of God acts within the Orthodox Church, which preserves intact the Apostolic Tradition.

Christ is not confined to human labels.

But Orthodoxy testifies that He is the Truth — and the Truth does not change.

Иисус Христос — не протестант, не католик и не творение какой-либо человеческой конфессии.

Христос есть Господь Славы, Глава Единой, Святой, Соборной и Апостольской Церкви.

Разделения возникли в ходе истории. Однако Православная Церковь хранит веру Апостолов и Святых Отцов неповреждённой, как она была передана от начала.

Святой Огонь в Иерусалиме является для православных живым свидетельством Воскресения. Каждый Великую Субботу в Храме Гроба Господня церемонию совершает Православный Патриарх согласно многовековой традиции.

Предание гласит, что в древние времена, когда армяне попытались совершить церемонию одни и Православному Патриарху не было позволено войти, Святой Огонь не явился внутри храма, но чудесно вышел из колонны снаружи, расколов её. Эта расколотая колонна сохраняется доныне как знак, который верующие считают свидетельством божественного вмешательства.

Для православных это является сильным указанием на то, что благодать Божия действует в Православной Церкви, которая хранит Апостольское Предание в целости.

Христос не ограничивается человеческими ярлыками.

Но Православие свидетельствует, что Он есть Истина — а Истина не изменяется.
