For reflection ...
The paradoxes of our time are that ...
. We have bigger buildings but less patience, wider streets but narrower horizons.
. We spend more but have less, buy more but enjoy less.
. We have bigger houses but smaller families, more facilities but less time.
. We have more diplomas, but less logic.
More knowledge, but less judgment,
. More specialized scientists, but more problems.
Κα More drugs, but less strength,
Ίνουμε We drink too much, we smoke too much, we spend too much, we laugh too little, we drive too fast, we get angry immediately, we wake up too late, we get up without appetite, we rarely read, we watch a lot of TV, we pray very sparingly.
. We have multiplied our possessions, but we have reduced our values.
. We talk a lot, love a little and hate very often.
. We learned how to survive but not how to live, we added years to life, but not life to years.
. We went to the moon and came back, but we find it difficult to go across to meet the new neighbor.
. We conquered the outside world (space) but not our inner world.
. We did bigger things but no better.
. We cleaned the atmosphere, but we polluted our soul.
. We split the individuals, but not our prejudice.
. We write more, but we learn less.
. We plan more, but we achieve less.
. We learned to hurry, but not to wait.
. We build more computers to fit more information to be printed in more copies than ever before, but we have less communication.
This is the age of fast food and slow digestion, of taller but smaller people, of big profits with superficial relationships,
The era of world peace, with civil strife, more free time but less fun, plenty of food but less nutrients.
Εποχή The season with double incomes at home but also increased divorces, with large but broken homes.
. The era of fast travel, disposable diapers, lost morale, overnight relationships, overweight bodies, as well as drugs that do everything, change the mood, bring joy as peace but even death.
It is the time when a lot happens to be seen but nothing behind the lights, a time when technology can bring a letter to you in no time and a time when you can choose to reflect, communicate or just bypass these thoughts .
